The debate over Michelle Obama’s gender identity rumbles on.
There are many subjective views, some totally lunatic views and some have taken a more scientific approach. Just Google ‘Transgender women’ to see how difficult it is to actually tell in many cases.
My approach is purely observational and comparative.
I have taken images and compared facial features in a kind of rudimentary biometric manner.
It is generally accepted that faces are rather like fingerprints – no two are exactly the same – not even identical twins.
Some facial features remain relatively unchanged all of our lives particularly those governed by bone structure, assuming there has been no damage or cosmetic alteration.
Likewise the interrelationship of these features can remain the same.
This video uses very basic image superimposition with fading and increasing of image opacity to demonstrate the similarity in the facial features of individuals with an approximate 20 year age difference.
The viewer is left to decide whether the similarities are of any significance.
